About

My name is Sienna, and welcome to my history and lifestyle blog for bookish women.

Welcome, fellow time-travelling daydreamers. If your favourite tales begin with “once upon a time,” you’d rather book a vacation at a historic castle than a modern hotel, and you look to heroines like Queen Elizabeth I or Joan of Arc for #girlboss inspiration, then this blog is for you.

My name is Sienna, and I am a Canadian freelance writer and editor. I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in journalism at Ryerson University, and this fall I’m going to be diving back in time (figuratively speaking) to complete a master’s degree in European women’s history.

Follow along on Lost in Time, as I blog about my love for all things bookish and historical. If you’re like me, you likely have a stack of reading material towering over you on your bedside table consisting of an odd mix of glossy fashion magazines, children’s fairy tales, historical biographies, and Jane Austen novels. Here, you’ll find reading lists featuring the latest books by women, about women, and for women. Lifestyle inspiration will be brought to you with a (healthy) dose of nostalgia. And my travel guides will bring you back in time, as you discover historic landmarks that are as beautiful as they are spellbinding.

Join me as I try to create a community for modern book-loving bluestockings with feminine hearts that look for the magic, chivalry, and poetry in everyday experiences. So, grab a cup of tea and stay awhile.
